About Us

Welcome to the St. Adalbert Parish website!

What might be the best answer when someone asks you “who are you”? Or in our case: What is St. Adalbert Parish like?

St. Adalbert’s is a Roman Catholic parish in the Brooklyn – Queens Diocese administered by the Conventual Franciscan Friars.  We serve the Catholic faith community in Elmhurst and vicinity.

There is always something happening here.  We are a vibrant parish with a variety of ministries and parish groups from preschool children to senior adults.

We form a faith community by our common worship, our activities as one family, and our outreach to those in need. We are a diverse family united by our faith in God and love for each other.

We have a beautiful church that serves our faith community for lively Sunday liturgies, devotions, Eucharistic exposition and private prayer.  Our church is open every day for private prayer.

Besides having an excellent Catholic Academy, which prepares our students for high school, we provide faith formation programs for children and adults.

Our intention is to make this website a tool which we hope will give you a clearer picture of our ministries, help us all to praise God, grow in faith, and help us reach out to the needy.

Finally, if you are in our area, please feel welcome to join us for Mass or any of our other events. Let’s become church rather than just go to church.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Mirek Podymniak, OFM Conv
